Challenge Festival is a 2 day event (Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May) music/community festival that celebrates your most music and community shows. This day event as a free to attend festival on the Saturday showing a variety of local and national bands, a stage and a bandstand all playing concurrently, Children’s rides, community groups displaying dance, theatre and cultural displays. 

The Challenge Festival takes place at Myrtle Park Bingley, which is a two-day event.

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May 2024 – Gates open at 10.00 and music finishes at 9:30pm

No, there will be events for all ages, Challenge Festival will operate a challenge 25 system at the bars serving alcohol.

While you can bring your own food and drinks into most areas of the park, you are not allowed to bring them into the licensed meadow area where the main stage and bars are located. Food and drinks purchased within this area must be consumed there.

You can leave the Challenge Festival site at any time during the day, however you will not be allowed to re-enter licensed area you have left unless you have left for a medical emergency or an emergency of an exceptional nature decided by the events management. 

Challenge Festival welcomes everybody to Myrtle Park. All access routes are disabled / wheelchair accessible and we do have a specific accessible toilets on site. Please note that Challenge Festival is predominantly a grassed event, however as this is a public park most routes have a challenged person pathway. On Saturday you will be allowed to bring picnic blankets or foldable camping chairs for the public park areas with exception to  the VIP fenced area known as the meadow on the 

The Management Team reserve the right to refuse further camping chairs at any time throughout the event if in their opinion additional chairs may lead to a public safety issue.

No, unfortunately due to public safety concerns no umbrellas will be allowed onto the site. Please either bring a waterproof jacket or poncho’s will be on sale in the park.

Yes! Our festival site is predominantly grass so please wear suitable footwear to the festival and be sure to keep your eye on the weather

The licensed zone includes the meadow where the main stage, bars, and food vendors are situated. Bags will be searched upon entry to the licensed meadow area, We have a no-glass policy in this area, and any items legal items that are not allowed into the licensed area will be confiscated and returned when exiting the licensed area. Any suspected illegal items found will mean that they will not be allowed into the licensed area. The person may be detained and the police informed.

No. We will accept cash and cards, but there are cash machines in Bingley Town Centre which is a five minute walk away.

Dogs on leads are allowed at the Challenge Festival. However, owners should consider their pet’s wellbeing before bringing them to the crowded and busy festival environment. It’s important to ensure that the festival setting is suitable and safe for the pet before bringing them along.

Typical items you cannot bring onto site are food, drink, Trolleys and glass objects (except for vapes and perfume/aftershave, in bottles not greater than 100ml), Non pharmaceutical prescribed drugs, balloons and compressed gas.

There are hotels within walking distance of the festival site and several nearby which are either on bus routes or close enough to travel to the site by taxi. If you require any further info, please fill out a contact form on our contact us page and we will be more than happy to help.

“grounds” means locations owned, occupied, utilised or controlled, or the surrounding areas or other property owned or controlled by gm events ltd

“organisers” means CHALLENGE FESTIVAL LTD.

“event” means Challenge Festival, unless specified the Poptastic concert or the outdoor cinema related to it which is held in the VIP fenced off area in the area known as the Meadow in Myrtle Park. 

“material” means any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data.

“authorised personnel or management” means any steward, volunteer, police officer or other person authorised by CHALLENGE FESTIVAL LTD
